Administrator: Advertiser Portal

Objectives:

Design a user-friendly tool to allow the Sales team to create Advertising Campaigns for the Jumbo Screens and mobile app.

Goals

The first iteration of this admin portal was a CSV upload with all the info for placement, ad duration, and image asset ids. If a user needed to make changes they had to re-upload the CSV and have the broadcaster rebuild the event show. The first goal was to move from a data file to an Advertising wizard.

The second was to take the resposibily of ad placment and frequency, off the plate of the Production teams. And give it to the sales team who would be our new primary users. With future foresight that we access would be given to larger Advertisers to control their ads down the road

A Tree style Layout of each roles responsible.

Breakdown of which features would be part of the Sales and Production Teams.

Designed the workflows for creating new Ad Campaigns for a predefined or custom packages.

With the clear visual preview for the creation of each of the 15 different Ad types. Each add could be customized by stadium location and game segment preference.

Ad Campaign Creation

Individual Ad Creation with Scoreboard Previews.

Late feature request

Since we needed to keep track of all ads to confirm we were fulling all contractual obligation we were able to add a reports feature to allow the Sales team and advertisers to see in-depth results of how their campaigns were doing.

Conclusion

The sales team was very excited to start using the tool to. They enjoyed the easy of use and visual clarity it gave them to see what image and video assets were needed. And be able to keep track of their clients ad campaigns results.

Producer App

The Problem

A way for production or event coordinators to create interactive elements with the live stadium audience.

The Solution

Creating a mobile application that let the user create polls that could show up on the jumbo screen.

Invite the fans using the team app to participate in pre-game and half-time contests.

Creating photo opportunities for fans to upload their photos to the jumbo screen. But also allow the producer to approve the photos on the app before showing.

The Result

The Producer app allowed the event coordinators to remotely work with the production teams in the video booth. And notify the Broadcaster desktop app of fan Photos and live polls that were ready to show on the jumbo screen.
